Cold Fusion, by Macromedia, is a web scripting language aimed at new or advanced developers for developing fast and scalable websites. Cold Fusion is Macromedia 's commercial database application development tool enabling databases to have a web interface, so a database can be queried and updated using a web browser. The Cold Fusion Server application runs on the web server and has access to a database.
Cold Fusion application examples include order entry, event registration, catalogue search, directories, calendars, and interactive training. Cold Fusion applications are robust because all database interactions are encapsulated in a single industrial-strength CGI script. If your website is built using Cold Fusion we can enable this as an additional feature on your hosting package.

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, a protocol developed for transmitting private documents via the internet. SSL works by using a public key to encrypt data that's transferred over the SSL connection. With an SSL Web Server Certificate on your website, any information sent to your web server via the internet is encrypted or scrambled, making it impossible to intercept or steal these files.
An SSL certificate displays the identity of the website owner, and the name of the independent authority who verified that identity.
Why do you need an SSL?
Utilising the digital SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) 'handshake', based on leading security protocol on the Internet, you and your customers can be assured that all online communications are secure whilst this information is being transmitted.

Shared SSL
Shared SSL (e.g.: https://secure.bluecentral.com/username/) provides a virtual directory under an SSL registered to BlueCentral. This solution functions within the shared SSL, but as there is no reference to your business within the name, shared SSL is less expensive.

SSL Plus
SSL Plus offers you a personal SSL (e.g.: https://www.yourdomain.com) that is registered to your company name. The benefit of SSL Plus is that when a customer is visiting your website, your SSL name incorporates your business name to instill confidence that your business is a legitimate one, as it has been researched by the SSL vendor, Thawte. With SSL Plus, potential customers visiting your site are more likely to be confident in conducting online business with you and will rest assured knowing that online transactions which involve their sensitive information are secured.
