Patch Management
Operating under both Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Red Hat Linux Operating Systems BlueCentral O/S Patch Notification and Installation is a vital element of managing your server. The BlueCentral network management servers scan your server daily, at the time of your choice, compare the results of operating system patches to the Microsoft Security Centre or the Red Hat Network, depending on your operating system.
This service is critical for server administrators who understand the importance of patch management. Two options for this service are patch notification or full patch management which includes installation of patches once identified.

Shared SQL

Metered Bandwidth
One option for internet bandwidth access is metered usage. This plan is perfect for clients with seasonal or variable internet usage. With the metered bandwidth option you pay per Mb of data which is inbound to your sever. Outbound Data is Free.

Flat Rate Bandwidth
For clients who require standard internet access usage in blocks of 10Mb/s (outbound) our metered bandwidth option presents you with no surprise bills when usage is high.

Backup - Shared
We have developed a Shared Backup solution which utilises the Dell PowerVault 770N, a feature-rich network attached storage (NAS) device to serve shared backup to our dedicated and co-located server clients. The backup device sits on a separate, secure gigabit network. This ensures safe, high speed data transfer between your server and our backup device.
We have two shared backup options available, managed or unmanaged.

Backup – Dedicated
This option is suitable for larger clients with four or more servers. It is fully customisable, hence suitable for clients who need to archive data for long periods of time off site.
BlueCentral proudly partner with and recommend Dell. Our standard solution utilises the SCSI attached PV114T LTO2, this device can backup 400Gb Native and 800Gb compressed data.
We have two Dedicated Backup options available; managed or unmanaged.

Firewall
A firewall examines each network packet destined for your server to determine whether to allow or block it. This is the first port of call to block unauthorised access to your server.
