Managed Web Hosting, the BlueCentral Business Hosting Service
Most of our customers would prefer a fully managed hosting service. The challenge is, that hosting companies have widely varying interpretations of what a “managed hosting service” actually means.
We don’t. It’s very clear that when you take or rent a managed server from us, be it a managed dedicated server or managed virtual servers, we offer a complete “Managed Service for you! This can of course extend to fully outsourced IT for some e-commerce or web needs.
Inclusions in a dedicated Managed Hosting Service from BlueCentral?
Yes, the BlueCentral Hosting service includes the following managed hosting services (unless of course you ask for us NOT to provide any of these!):
- Provision of suitable space in a Tier 1 Data Centre with all Tier 3 environmental services.
- Adequate power with full UPS, and backup generators to support the full service AND air conditioning should the mains power go off-line
- Racks, either closed or in a closed cage.
- Security access systems for approved staff only, with certifications to this end, relevant to PCI, Government or sensitive commercial services
- Electricity from two grids as you need.
- “Carrier Hotel” data and telecoms services – you chose, we do not “force” our customers to take our service, any service or any particular service.
- Dual carrier-grade internet services to the nearest Peering Point
- Peering including interstate links and VPN as needed
- Servers or Server nodes, with Operating Systems licenses
- High Availability Support Systems
- VM or VPS Software licenses
- Other Microsoft or Open Software that you request.
- Network and Internet connections through redundant switches, routers and firewalls up to GB rate
- Server patch management for OS software
- SMACs- Small Moves Adds and Changes to an agreed level (usually 2 per month), included free.
- SAN or HDD Disk storage to your standard, all with RAID5, RAID10 or similar services
- Back-up services, including to tape, disks, offsite (if requested), to SAN, interstate all at a variable fee depending on what you need.
- Online monitoring (Ping) or full Control Panel if you request it, with your own access.
- Personal Account Management from a named Account Manager
- Access to full NOC Call Centre services with qualified engineers answering your call each time.
- Backup level 3 and Level 4 technical services from our own staff and if needed, from suppliers around the world.
Applicaton Management is not normally part of our standard service, but we do provide this in conjunction with other IPMG companies. We do however, provide remote hands (or contracted technical support by the hour) to all customers on request.
