Government Hosting Services, Hosted Govt-Cloud, ASIO-T4 Certification
At BlueCentral we are a prominent provider of hosting for a range of Government hosting services, including hosted applications for the NSW Government from Sydney and Victorian Government from Melbourne. In addition, we provide govt hosting services to a range of Commonwealth Agencies both directly and via our IPMG sister companies and other partners.
For example, we provide the hosted mapping services for the 2010 Election for AEC - the Australian Electoral Commission. Government hosting clients are now asking for a Government Cloud Service (or G-Cloud Service as they term it), which we will be pleased to offer around our multi-data centre strategy.
Hosting Certifications - ASIO-T4 Access Security
BlueCentral currently hosts government customers within the security of the Fujitsu Data Centre in Sydney, a facility that is fully certified for physical security and access controls to meet the Government hosting security standard. At this facility there are also Commonwealth hosting customers supported to the ACSI-33 DSD hosting standard by Fujitsu. In addition we provide the following to government hosting clients;
- Closed or locked cage space
- Class C racks or cabinet enclosures with U Locks, on request
- CCTV camera options for customer direct monitoring
- Secure managed dedicated government firewall services.
Specialised Government Hosting; In-Confidence, Protected, Highly Protected
BlueCentral is not currently certified to the DSD ACSI-33 procedural standards, but does have "Cleared staff" and appropriate support to meet this need if required by our government hosting clients. Our proposed procedures will include
- PSM and DSD process approvals
- ACSI-33 standard of operations to be delivered via a new Government Hosting NOC.
We are committed to providing the highest levels of Hosting Quality Assurance for ASIO-T4 services, ISO:27001 Processes to meet Confidential Hosting, Protected Hosting and Restricted Hosting. These solutions will be designed and tailored specifically for each Government hosting customer.
"Secret" and Top Secret Hosting
BlueCentral does not plan to offer Government Secret or Top Secret Hosting services in Canberra. Requests for hosting at this security level should be directed to Defence Signals Directorate or ASIO T4 directly.
The Federal Government Hosting and Data Centre Panel Contract
Following the swearing-in of the new Labor Ministry in September 2010, allocation of Portfolios has changed considerably, however the Department of Finance (DOFA) continues to over-sight AGIMO and as a result we see the interim Panel contract as staying in place until the AGIMO Data Centre tender is finalised.
Government Secure Gateway, Hosted SIG & DSD Console
Under the revised conditions for hosting of Gateway services (or SIG's) for Federal Government Agencies, Agencies or customers will be required to have their gateway SIG services provided or administered by a Lead Agency (generally a large Department or Agency with high IT requirements). A key element of this service requirement will be the provision of hosting console services for all SIGs to DSD. BlueCentral is working with a key supplier to meet this need.
When compared with the cost savings of implementing, operating and managing your own systems, selecting BlueCentral to manage the security of your hosted infrastructure creates an environment where government or administrative hosting focus can be directed towards growth, not security management.
ISO27001 Security for Un-Classified Government Hosting
For customers such as State Government, that do not need a classified SIG environment, BlueCentral will provide secure services under other security arrangements, including within a Certified ASIO-T4 Secure data centre.
